Assistant City Solicitor City of Brockton 45 School Street Brockton, MA 02301 Dear Attorney Cogliano: I have received the petition of Sean Sheridan appealing the nonresponse of the City of Brockton (City) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On September 3, 2021, Mr. Sheridan requested “… any and all communications from me to you … requesting a host community agreement.” Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Sheridan petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR21/2453, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the City provided a response to Mr. Sheridan dated October 1, 2021. Where this matter was opened based upon the City’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this appeal closed. Mr. Sheridan may appeal the City’s response within ninety days.
