The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records October 7, 2021 SPR21/2508 Ms. Tara M. Ward Town Clerk Town of Ashland 101 Main Street Ashland, MA 01721 Dear Ms. Ward: I have received the petition of Stephen J. Morgan appealing the response of the Town of Ashland (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Mr. Morgan requested the Town “post or provide via email the [m]inutes and documents used in the 10-50 Main Street Working Group meetings 9/13/2021, 8/23/2021 and 8/9/20201. Also please advise a document with an email address to contact these committee members.” On September 28, 2021, Mr. Morgan petitioned the Supervisor of Records to “…enforce this request as you see only minutes were posted. The requested documents were not included in the file. The requested document with the email address of the committee was not included.” As a result, this appeal was opened. Subsequently, in a September 30, 2021 letter from Alexander M. Castro, of Mead, Talerman & Costa, LLC, the Town’s Legal Counsel, an attorney in the Public Records Division was informed, “[p]lease be advised that the Town sent Mr. Morgan the remaining documents earlier today.” Accordingly, whereas the Town provided Mr. Morgan with the requested records, I will consider this administrative appeal closed.
