Murray Supervisor of Records October 19, 2021 SPR21/2557 Sandra Cotter Department of Correction- MCI Cedar Junction 2450 Main Street South Walpole, MA 02081 Dear Ms. Cotter: I have received the petition of Attorney Jason Benzaken appealing the nonresponse of the Department of Correction (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Atty. Benzaken requested copies of all surveillance regarding a January incident involving a certain prisoner. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Department is in receipt of the request and intends to provide Mr. Benzaken with a response to his request. Accordingly, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Benzaken may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety days of it being provided.
