G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On October 1, 2021, Mr. Wood requested: [1] “[Named individual’s] Letter of Resignation”[;] [2] “[A]ny requests for time off filed by [named individual] Between 8/15/2021 and present[;] [3] “[Named individual’s] outlook calendar, any schedules, etc . . . for 9/15/2021 through 11/15/2021”[;] and [4] “[A]ny email sent or received by [named individual] [which] mentions the word Maine between 9/1/2021 and present.” On October 1, 2021, the City responded. Unsatisfied with the City’s response, Mr. Wood petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR21/2576, was opened as a result. Based upon a conversation between a Public Records Division staff attorney and a City representative, it is my understanding the City intends on providing a subsequent response to Mr. Wood. Accordingly, the City is ordered to provide Mr. Wood with a response to his request in a manner consistent with the Public Records Law and its Access Regulations within ten (10) business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Wood may appeal the substantive nature of the City’s response within ninety (90) days.
