G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On September 12, 2021, Mr. Creighton made a request for, “…business certificates for the 7 businesses” located at an identified address. On September 14, 2021, the Town provided a response. On October 5, 2021, unsatisfied with the Town’s response, Mr. Creighton petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR21/2680, was opened as a result. Subsequently, in a phone call with a representative of the Town, I learned that the Town intends on providing a written response to Mr. Creighton. Accordingly, the Town is ordered to provide Mr. Creighton with a response in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Regulations and this order within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Creighton may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s response within ninety days.
