The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records October 22, 2021 SPR21/2699 Cara L. Dahill Town Clerk Carver Town Hall 108 Main Street Carver, MA 02330 Dear Ms. Dahill: I have received the petition of Mary Dormer appealing the response of the Town of Carver (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On August 31, 2021, Ms. Dormer requested “…all email messages from The Carver Select Board during the 2019-2020 year and any and all candidates for the Interim Town Administrator Position following the departure of [named person] [and] … those emails that were used to entice[named person] to apply for the position …” On September 1, 2021, the Town responded. Unsatisfied with the Town’s response, Ms. Dormer petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR21/2699, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Town responded to Ms. Dormer’s request with responses sent on October 15, 2021 and October 18, 2021. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Town’s September 1st response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Dormer may appeal the substantive nature of the Town's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
