General Counsel Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office 6000 Sheriff’s Place Bourne, MA 02532 Dear Attorney Buckley: I have received the petition of Lawrence Bland appealing the nonresponse of the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office (Office) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On October 1, 2021, Mr. Bland requested “[a]ny documentations, logs, reports, job tickets, etc. that relate to the Barnstable Police Department contacting your [Office] division on June 8, 2019 to report a technical problem…” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Bland petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR21/2799, was opened as a result. It is my understanding the Office provided a response dated October 22, 2021. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. If unresolved issues remain, Mr. Bland may appeal the substantive nature of the Office’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
