The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records November 9, 2021 SPR21/2811 Colleen Kolodziej Assistant City Clerk City of Peabody 24 Lowell Street Peabody, MA 01960 Dear Ms. Kolodziej: I have received the petition of Artie Grenier appealing the response of the City of Peabody (City) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On October 24, 2021, Mr. Grenier requested the “…most current Annual Street List (M.G.L. Chapter 51) for [named street].” On October 26, 2021, the City responded. Unsatisfied with the City’s response, Mr. Grenier petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR21/2811, was opened as a result. Based upon a conversation between a Public Records Division staff attorney and a City representative, it is my understanding that the City intends on providing a subsequent response to Mr. Grenier. Accordingly, the City is ordered to provide Mr. Grenier with a response to his request in a manner consistent with the Public Records Law and its Access Regulations within 10 business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Grenier may appeal the substantive nature of the City’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records cc: Artie Grenier Adam J. Buckley, Esq.
