The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records November 17, 2021 SPR21/2936 Darius Modesto Superintendent of Schools Frontier Regional and Union #38 School District 113 North Main Street South Deerfield, MA 01373 Dear Superintendent Modesto: I have received the petition of Jill Dickinson appealing the response of the Frontier Regional and Union #38 School District (District) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On October 21, 2021, Ms. Dickinson requested various documents. The District responded on October 27, 2021 and November 5, 2021. Unsatisfied with the District’s responses, Ms. Dickinson petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR21/2936, was opened as a result. Based upon a conversation between a Public Records Division staff attorney and a District representative, it is my understanding that the District intends on providing a subsequent response to Ms. Dickinson. Accordingly, the District is ordered to provide Ms. Dickinson with a response to her request in a manner consistent with the Public Records Law and its Access Regulations within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Ms. Dickinson may appeal the substantive nature of the District's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
