The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records November 10, 2021 SPR21/2950 Cheryl Carlson Police Records Manager Wellesley Police Department 485 Washington Street Wellesley, MA 02482 Dear Ms. Carlson: I have received the petition of Philip G. Cormier, Esq. appealing the response of the Wellesley Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On October 28, 2021, Attorney Cormier requested copies of any police reports concerning “a response by the Wellesley Police Department on August 1, 2021” to an identified address. The Department provided a response on October 29, 2021. Unsatisfied with the Department’s response, Attorney Cormier petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR21/2950, was opened as a result. Subsequent to the opening of this appeal, the Department provided a supplemental response on November 10, 2021. Given that this appeal was opened based on the October 29th response, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. Attorney Cormier may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s November 10th response within 90 days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records cc: Philip G.
