Murray Supervisor of Records November 19, 2021 SPR21/2988 Lieutenant Joseph W. Casey Medford Police Department 100 Main St. Medford, MA 02155 Dear Lieutenant Casey: I have received the petition of Joe Viglione appealing the response of the Medford Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On October 23, 2021, Mr. Viglione requested numerous records regarding a named city council member. On November 8, 2021, the Department responded. Unsatisfied with the Department’s response, Mr. Viglione appealed and SPR21/2988 was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned the Department responded to Mr. Viglione’s request with a further response sent on November 11, 2021. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s November 8th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Viglione may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s November 11th response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
