The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records December 10, 2021 SPR21/3139 Claudia Buruca Records Access Officer Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office One Bulfinch Place, Suite 300 Boston, MA 02114 Dear Ms. Buruca: I have received the petition of Attorney Jessica L. LaClair appealing the nonresponse of the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office (Office) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On August 31, 2021, Attorney LaClair requested “…items related to Commonwealth v. Akara, 0384CR11297.” Claiming to not yet have received a response, Attorney LaClair petitioned this office, and this appeal, SPR21/3139, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Office provided Attorney LaClair with a response dated December 10, 2021. In light of the Office’s December 10th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Attorney LaClair may appeal the substantive nature of the Office’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records cc: Jessica L.
