G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On September 7, 2021, Ms. Anderson requested: 1. The school administration’s report of its investigation into the initial complaints last June. 2. The report of the investigation that a third party conducted at the request of the school committee. 3. The school department’s contract with that third party appointed to conduct the review. 4. The third party’s invoice or invoices for her services. 5. [named person] most recent contract to coach the boys’ varsity hockey team. 6. Any communications that school department employees had with the Danvers police, the Essex County District Attorney’s Office, the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, the state Department of Children and Family Services, and the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association regarding the subject matter of the above mentioned reports. 7. One seven (7) page Bullying Investigation Report. 8. One twenty-six (26) page Danvers Public Schools Final Report to Hockey Team Investigation (June 2020) 9. One eighteen page (18) page Privileged and Confidential Report of Investigation Regarding Danvers High School Hockey Team, dated February 2, 2021. The Town responded on November 22, 2021. Unsatisfied with the response, Ms. Anderson petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR21/3165, was opened as a result. Keith Taverna SPR21/3165 Page 2 December 17, 2021 In light of newly released information and a conversation between a Public Records Division staff attorney and a Town representative, it is my understanding that the Town intends on providing a subsequent response to Ms. Anderson. Accordingly, the Town is ordered to provide Ms. Anderson with a response to the request in a manner consistent with the Public Records Law and its Access Regulations within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Ms. Anderson may appeal the substantive nature of the Town's response within ninety days.
