The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records December 14, 2021 SPR21/3170 Lieutenant Glenn McLeod Records Access Officer Westborough Police Department 45 West Main Street Westborough, MA 01581 Dear Lieutenant McLeod: I have received the petition of Patrick Mason appealing the response of the Westborough Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On October 28, 2021, Mr. Mason requested various records regarding a certain motor vehicle incident. The Department responded on October 29, 2021. Unsatisfied with the Department’s response, Mr. Mason petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR21/3170, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department intends on providing a supplementary response to Mr. Mason. Accordingly, the Department is ordered to provide Mr. Mason with said response in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Regulations, and this order within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Mason may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
