Leicester Public Schools 3 Washburn Square Leicester, MA 01524 Dear Attorney Rozaq: I have received the petition of Joel Hart appealing the response of the Leicester Public Schools (School) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On September 27, 2021, Mr. Hart requested a signed letter and contract of a named individual. Subsequently, Mr. Hart clarified that he was seeking “an attachment labeled ‘letter for hire’ on 8/18/2021 unsigned and the 8/19/2021 signed attachment ‘letter to hire’” by an identified individual. Previous appeals This request was the subject of previous appeals. See SPR21/2762 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (November 3, 2021) and SPR21/2947 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (November 19, 2021). In my November 19th determination, I ordered the School to provide Mr. Hart with a response, clarifying whether it possesses original copies of the requested records. Subsequently, the School provided Mr. Hart with a response on December 3, 2021. Unsatisfied with the School’s response, Mr. Hart petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR21/3183, was opened as a result. In an email correspondence dated December 8, 2021, this office was notified that a response, including responsive records, were provided to Mr. Hart. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Hart may appeal the substantive nature of the School’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
