The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records December 13, 2021 SPR21/3207 Claudia Buruca Records Access Officer Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office One Bulfinch Place, Suite 300 Boston, MA 02114 Dear Ms. Buruca: I have received the petition of Michael W. Lodge, Sr. appealing the nonresponse of the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office (Office) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On November 4, 2021, Mr. Lodge requested “copies of [named individual] informant statements in redacted form…meaning their names, date of birth, ss, and addresses.” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Lodge petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR21/3207, was opened as a result. Based upon a phone conversation between the Office and a staff member of the Public Records Division, it is my understanding the Office intends on providing a subsequent response to Mr. Lodge’s request. Accordingly, the Office is ordered to provide Mr. Lodge with a response to his request, provided in a manner consistent with this order, the Public Records Law and its Access Regulations within ten (10) business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Lodge may appeal the substantive nature of the Office’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records cc: Mr. Michael W.
