Boyle: I have received the petition of Cam Googins appealing the response of the Boston Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On December 20, 2021, Mr. Googins requested from the Department a booking photo and arrest report of an identified individual. The Department provided a response on December 29, 2021. Unsatisfied with the Department’s response, Mr. Googins petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR21/3378, was opened as a result. In a conversation with this office on January 11, 2022, the Department explained that it provided Mr. Googins with additional records and a supplemental response. Given that this appeal was opened based on the December 29th response, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Googins may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s January 11th response within 90 days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
