The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records January 25, 2022 SPR22/0087 Theresa Rand Executive Assistant to the Superintendent Norton Public Schools 64 West Main Street Norton, MA 02766 Dear Ms. Rand: I have received the petition of Ben Tobin appealing the nonresponse of the Norton Public Schools (District) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On December 3, 2021, Mr. Tobin requested “… a copy of the special education policies and procedures stemming from the special education program plan statement (SEPPS).” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Tobin petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/0087, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the District provided a response to Mr. Tobin’s request dated January 25, 2022. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the District’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Tobin may appeal the substantive nature of the District’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
