Houle Superintendent Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School 215 Fitchburg Street Marlborough, MA 01752 Dear Superintendent Houle: I have received the petition of Commonwealth Transparency appealing the response of the Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School (School) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On December 4, 2021, the requestor sought the following: For the time period December 1, 2020 through December 3, 2021, please provide the following; 1. Any and all public records requests seeking public records of your school(s), and/or district(s). 2. All metadata from the requests in #1 above including all contact information of the requestor, including but not limited to emails and text messages. 3. All electronic communications regarding #1 above including but not limited to emails and text messages. 4. All responses, appeals, fee requests and responsive records resulting from the requests in #1 above. The School provided an initial response on December 29, 2021, and a subsequent response on January 20, 2022. In its January 20th response, the School provided responsive records and claimed it did not possess certain records. Claiming to not have received all the responsive records, the requestor petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/0135, was opened as a result. It is my understanding that the School provided a response to the requestor on January 25, 2022. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. The requestor may appeal the substantive nature of the School’s January 25th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
