G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On January 2, 2022, Mr. Hempseed requested records pertaining to: [w]hat [the Commission is] doing to regulate HCA’s or, more specifically help [s]ocial [e]quity applicants to achieve HCA’s for the license types that the [Commission] set aside for this group of disproportionately impacted people? I am also, specifically requesting any data that the [Commission] can provide at this time that indicates any action taken by the [Commission] on behalf of [d]disproportionately [i]mpacted [p]eople and [c]ommunities has directly helped that SEP through the [Commission’s] direct actions, and or policies. On January 7, 2022, the Commission confirmed receipt of the request. After not receiving any further response, Mr. Hempseed petitioned this office, and this appeal was opened. On January 31st, the Commission provided a response along with records. Given that this appeal was opened due to a lack of a written response, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Hempseed may appeal the substantive nature of the Commission’s January 31st response within 90 days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
