The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records January 27, 2022 SPR22/0164 Shawn A. Williams, Esq. Director of Public Records City of Boston One City Hall Square Boston, MA 02201 Dear Attorney Williams: I have received the petition of Cam Goggins, of Live Boston 617 Inc., appealing the response of the Boston Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On December 18, 2021, Mr. Goggins requested “. . . the booking photo and report associated with the arrest of [an identified individual].” Previous appeal This request was the subject of a previous appeal. See SPR21/3366 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (January 12, 2022). In my January 12th determination, I found the Department had not met its burden to withhold portions of the records under Exemptions (a), (c), and (f) of the Public Records Law. G. L. c. 4, § 7(26)(a), (c), (f). The Department provided a response on January 8, 2022. Unsatisfied with the Department’s response, Mr. Goggins petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/0164, was opened as a result. It is my understanding that the Department provided a response to Mr. Goggins on January 26, 2022. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Goggins may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s January 26th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
