G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On January 4, 2022, Mr. Quemere requested, “[a]ll annual Use of Force Committee reports.” Claiming to not yet have received a response Mr. Quemere petitioned this office, and this appeal, SPR22/0170, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department intends on providing a written response to Mr. Quemere. Accordingly, the Department is ordered to provide Mr. Quemere with a response in accordance with the Public Records Law, its Access Regulations and this order within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Quemere may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety days.
