The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records February 8, 2022 SPR22/0294 Mark Relation, Esq. Records Access Officer Office of the Worcester District Attorney 225 Main St. G301 Worcester, MA 01608 Dear Attorney Relation: I have received a petition from Craig Shibley appealing the nonresponse of the Office of the Worcester District Attorney (Office) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On January 31, 2022, Mr. Shibley requested certain transcripts related to the cold case of an identified State Trooper. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Shibley petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/0294, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Office provided Mr. Shibley with a response dated February 7, 2022. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Office’s lack of a written response, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Shibley has appealed the Office’s response which will be opened as a separate matter. Sincerely, Rebecca S.
