Assistant City Solicitor City of Brockton – City Hall 45 School Street Brockton, MA 02301 Dear Attorney Cogliano: I have received the petition of Sean Sheridan (aka Sean Hempseed) appealing the response of the City of Brockton (City) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On February 8, 2022, Mr. Sheridan requested copies of: “any and all phone bills which include [P]olice [C]hief [G]omes’ car phone; and any and all phone bills which include [P]olice [G]omes’ cell phone. I am only interested in records that…include [M]ay 15, 2021.” On March 7, 2022 the City provided Mr. Sheridan with a response, including responsive records. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Sheridan may appeal the substantive nature of the City’s response within 90 calendar days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
