Records Access Officer City of Boston 1 City Hall Plaza Boston, MA 02201 Dear Attorney Williams: I have received the petition of Andrew Ryan of the Boston Globe appealing the nonresponse of the Boston Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On February 3, 2022, Mr. Ryan requested “[d]igital scans (preferably PDFs) of all Boston Police Department Form #2000 – Homicide Information Sheet from Jan 1, 1970 up until today.” Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Ryan petitioned this office, and this appeal, SPR22/0497, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department provided Mr. Ryan a response dated March 14, 2022. In light of the Department’s March 14th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed.
