The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records March 24, 2022 SPR22/0580 David F. O’Sullivan, Esq. Primary RAO Essex County District Attorney’s Office 10 Federal St Salem, MA 01970 Dear Attorney O’Sullivan: I have received the petition of Laura Ortiz appealing the nonresponse of the Essex County District Attorney’s Office (Office) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On February 15, 2022, Ms. Ortiz requested “…public records regarding ‘Prevention Strategy’ Meeting Records…” with the Lynn, Salem, and Saugus Public School Districts. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Ms. Ortiz petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/0580, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Office responded to Ms. Ortiz’s request with a response sent on March 15, 2022. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Office’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Ortiz may appeal the substantive nature of the Office’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
