Sedney, Esq. of Brody, Hardoon, Perkins & Kesten, LLP appealing the response of the Department of Fire Services (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On October 5, 2021, Attorney Sedney requested a “… report of investigation into a fire” at a named location. The Department responded on November 1, 2021. Unsatisfied with the response, Attorney Sedney petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/0607, was opened as a result. Based upon a conversation between a Public Records Division staff attorney and a Department representative, it is my understanding the Department provided further documents to Attorney Sedney. Accordingly, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Attorney Sedney may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
