The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records March 29, 2022 SPR22/0616 Pamela Powers City Clerk City of Northampton 210 Main Street, Room 4 Northampton, MA 01060 Dear Ms. Powers: I have received the petition of Joanna Boody appealing the nonresponse of the City of Northampton (City) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On February 19, 2022, Ms. Boody requested “[t]he correspondences to and from [an identified] city council email account between the dates of 1/1/22 to 2/18/22.” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Ms. Boody petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/0616, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the City provided Ms. Boody with a response dated March 17, 2022. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the City’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Boody may appeal the substantive nature of the City’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
