The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records March 30, 2022 SPR22/0627 Alison Cogliano Primary RAO Brockton Police Department 7 Commercial Street Brockton, MA 02302 Dear Ms. Cogliano: I have received the petition of Sean Sheridan appealing the nonresponse of the Brockton Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On February 23, 2022, Mr. Sheridan requested, “… the original invoice or any document showing what ‘packages’ existed for the retired Chief’s 2020 explorer.” Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Sheridan petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/0627, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department responded to Mr. Sheridan with a response sent on March 17, 2022. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Sheridan may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
