The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records March 28, 2022 SPR22/0658 Michele M. Heffernan, Esq. General Counsel Human Resources Division 100 Cambridge Street, Suite 600 Boston, MA 02114 Dear Attorney Heffernan: I have received the petition of Michael Saccone appealing the response of the Human Resources Division (Division) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On January 19, 2022, Mr. Saccone requested “the number of applicants & the number of applicants who passed the civil service police & fire exams from 1980 to present.” The Division responded on February 7, 2022, providing responsive records. Unsatisfied with the Division’s response, and seeking additional responsive records, Mr. Saccone appealed, and this case was opened as a result. Subsequent to the opening of this appeal, I learned that the Division provided a supplemental response by email to Mr. Saccone and this office on March 28, 2022. As this appeal was opened based on the Division’s February 7th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Saccone may further appeal the substantive nature of the Division’s March 28th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
