G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On February 6, 2022, Ms. Heywood requested: “…work order documents for the sign made for the [Department’s] South Yarmouth Barracks, that is described as follows: 4’x3’ sign that reads TEAMWORK. DO YOUR JOB, BE SAFE which also includes the [Department’s] patch which was created by DOT for [the Department] between April 2016 to February 2016; and emails between the [s]ign [s]hop [specifically named supervisor of the shop] and [an identified person] or unnamed individual who ordered the sign.” In an April 5, 2022 email, the Department stated, “[a]n e-mail was sent on 3/3/2022 with an attachment that contained all e-mails sent to and from [an identified person] of MassDOT from the [Department] for the time period in question.” As a result of the Department’s response, Ms. Heywood petitioned the Supervisor of Records (Supervisor), and this appeal was opened. In an April 14th conversation with a member of the Public Records Division legal staff, the Department indicated that it will provide Ms. Heywood with a response to her request. Conclusion Accordingly, the Department is ordered to provide Ms. Heywood with said response in a manner consistent with the Public Records Law and its Regulations within 10 business days.
