The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records May 3, 2022 SPR22/0922 Arielle Mullaney, Esq. Assistant General Counsel Executive Office of Public Safety and Security 1 Ashburton Place, Room 2133 Boston, MA 02108 Dear Attorney Mullaney: I have received the petition of Karina Wilkinson appealing the nonresponse of the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security (Office) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On March 29, 2022, Ms. Wilkinson requested “…amendments to the Securus Technologies’ contract with the Massachusetts Department of Correction for the prison inmate calling service (ICS), since Amendment #4, signed by Kerry A. Collins on February 10, 2020” as well as “…any other documents referencing rate changes in response to a new Federal Communication Commission interstate collect call rate cap of 14 cents that went into effect at the end of October, 2021.” Claiming to not yet have received a response, Ms. Wilkinson petitioned this office, and this appeal, SPR22/0922, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Office provided Ms. Wilkinson with a response dated May 3, 2022. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Office’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Wilkinson may appeal the substantive nature of the Office’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, .fJ l . ~ ~ _ ~ --· 0. . ~ Rebecca S.
