G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On April 5, 2022, Grace Ferguson, also of WBUR, requested a “list of police officers who have been employed by multiple police agencies in Massachusetts.” The Committee responded on April 19, 2022, stating that its “database does not capture lists of transferred law enforcement officers.” Unsatisfied with the Committee’s response, Mr. Wallack appealed, and this case was opened as a result. Based upon a phone conversation between this office and a representative for the Committee on April 27, 2022, it is my understanding that the Committee intends to provide a subsequent response to Mr. Wallack. Accordingly, the Committee is ordered to provide Mr. Wallack with said response in a manner consistent with the Public Records Law and its Access Regulations within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. If issues remain unresolved, Mr. Wallack may appeal the substantive nature of the Committee’s supplemental response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
