The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records May 23, 2022 SPR22/1072 Donna Buckley, Esq. General Counsel Barnstable County Sheriff's Office 6000 Sheriff's Place Bourne, MA 02532 Dear Attorney Buckley: I have received the petition of Lawrence Bland appealing the nonresponse of the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office (Office) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On April 21, 2022, Mr. Bland requested copies of “ … the daily Sunday thru Saturday Low Residue Diet Menu [and] the most recent document indicating that the Low Residue Diet Menu has been reviewed and meets the nationally recommended food allowances.” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Bland petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/1072, was opened as a result. Despite being notified of the opening of this appeal, it remains unclear whether the Office has provided a response. Accordingly, the Office is ordered to provide Mr. Bland with a response to his request, provided in a manner consistent with this order, the Public Records Law and its Access Regulations within ten (10) business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office. Mr. Bland may appeal the substantive nature of the Office’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
