The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records May 24, 2022 SPR22/1077 Helene Bettencourt Department of Elementary and Secondary Education 75 Pleasant Street Malden, MA 02148 Dear Ms. Bettencourt: I have received the petition of Kevin Wood appealing the nonresponse of the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On April 25, 2022, Mr. Wood requested records relating to an attached email regarding “drafts, comments, revisions and approvals, distribution list, dates of distribution, and responses and feedback received from recipients and the general public” of said email. Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Wood petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/1077, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department provided Mr. Wood with a response dated May 12, 2022. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Department’s lack of written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Wood may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ,' ,,. - ·. ~ Rebecca S.
