The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records June 7, 2022 SPR22/1217 Alison Bouchard City Clerk Fall River Office of the City Clerk One Government Center Fall River, MA 02722 Dear Ms. Bouchard: I have received the petition of Colin Dias appealing the response of the City of Fall River (City) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On May 9, 2022, Mr. Dias requested “any report made into any complaints, investigations, or wrongdoing” by a named individual. On May 23, 2022, the City responded. Unsatisfied with the City’s response, Mr. Dias petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/1217, was opened as a result. Based on a conversation between a Public Records Division staff attorney and a City representative, it is my understanding that the City intends on providing a subsequent response to Mr. Dias. Accordingly, the City is ordered to provide Mr. Dias with said response to his request in a manner consistent with the Public Records Law and its Access Regulations within 10 business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Dias may appeal the substantive nature of the City’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
