Director of Public Records Records Access Officer City of Boston 1 City Hall Square, Room 615 Boston, MA 02201 Dear Attorney Williams: I have received the petition of Allison Jarmanning, of WBUR, appealing the response of the City of Boston (City) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On June 27, 2022, Ms. Jarmanning requested “[c]omplete applications submitted by the four finalists for the job of Boston Police Department commissioner. This would include any resume, cover letter or supplemental materials submitted by the applicants.” The City provided a response on July 6, 2022 indicating there are no responsive records. Unsatisfied with the City’s response, Ms. Jarmanning petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/1592, was opened as a result. It is my understanding that the City provided a response to Ms. Jarmanning on July 22, 2022. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Jarmanning may appeal the substantive nature of the City’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
