The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records July 27, 2022 SPR22/1681 Jeremy Marsette, Department Records Access Officer Public Works Department Town of Natick 75 West Street Natick, MA 01760 Dear Mr. Marsette: I have received the petition of Brian Petrini-Smith appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Natick Public Works Department (Town) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On July 1, 2022, Mr. Petrini-Smith requested a copy of “…water usage at [an identified address] … for the past 5 years [including] bills.” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Petrini-Smith petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/1681, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Town provided Mr. Petrini-Smith with a response dated July 22, 2022. The Town also intends to have the Town’s Treasurer/Collectors Office provide an additional response. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Town’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Petrini-Smith may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Brian Petrini-Smith One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
