The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records August 11, 2022 SPR22/1776 Kathleen Deree Town Clerk Town of Weymouth 75 Middle Street Weymouth, MA, 02189 Dear Ms. Deree: I have received the petition of Gerard Mackin appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Weymouth (Town) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On August 2, 2022, Mr. Mackin requested “… documents in connection with the sale of personal property by the Town to former superintendent … at the time she left employment with the Town…” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Mackin petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/1776, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Town provided Mr. Mackin with a response dated August 2, 2022. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Town’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Mackin has appealed the August 2nd response and the matter has been addressed in SPR22/1750. Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Gerard Mackin One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
