The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records August 25, 2022 SPR22/1862 Lorraine Rousseau Records Access Officer Bristol County Sheriff’s Office 400 Faunce Corner Road North Dartmouth, MA 02747 Dear Ms. Rousseau, I have received the petition of Eleonora Bianchi, of the New Bedford Light, appealing the nonresponse of the Bristol County Sheriff’s Office (Office) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On July 21, 2022, Ms. Bianchi requested the daily calendar for a particular sheriff from July 20, 2020, to July 21, 2022. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Ms. Bianchi petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/1862, was opened as a result. Despite being notified of the opening of this appeal and a communication from a member of the Public Records Division staff, it is unclear whether a response has been provided. Accordingly, the Office is ordered to provide Ms. Bianchi with a response to the request, provided in a manner consistent with this order, the Public Records Law and its Regulations within 10 business days. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us.
