G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On August 8, 2022, Mr. Herman requested “…all records related to information provided this year to university employees and/or job applicants regarding ways to reduce their income tax burden.” Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Herman petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/1944, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that UMass provided a response on September 7, 2022 to Mr. Herman’s request. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of UMass’ lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed.
