Director of Public Records Record Access Officer City of Boston One City Hall Square Boston, MA 02201 Dear Attorney Williams: I have received the petition of Colman Herman appealing the nonresponse of the Boston Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On August 3, 2022, Mr. Herman requested “…all communications related to the issue of the ‘review’ being conducted of the [named person] matter…” Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Herman petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/1950, was opened as a result. In an email dated August 24, 2022, Mr. Herman informed this office that he wishes to withdraw this administrative appeal. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed.
