The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records September 12, 2022 SPR22/1976 Jane Mosher-Canty Lowell Public Schools 155 Merrimack Street Lowell, MA 01852 Dear Ms. Mosher-Canty, I have received the petition of Kevin Wood appealing the nonresponse of the Lowell Public Schools (School) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On August 12, 2022, Mr. Wood requested “…contracts, including purchase orders, regarding a particular person “from September 2020 to the present, and … [i]dentify all funding sources with amounts used in payment for Eatman and/or Essential Partners services.” Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Wood petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/1976, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the School provided a response on September 6, 2022, to Mr. Wood’s request. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the School’s lack of a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Wood may appeal the substantive nature of the School’s response within 90 days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records cc: Frank Wood One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre • pre@sec.state.ma.us
