G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On August 8, 2022, Mr. Quemere requested five categories of records relating to the Department’s use-of-force policies, reports, and data. The Department responded on August 13, 2022. Unsatisfied with the Department’s response, Mr. Quemere petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/2038, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Department responded to Mr. Quemere’s request with a further response sent on September 9, 2022. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Office’s August 13th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Quemere may appeal the substantive nature of the Department’s response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
