Deree Town Clerk Town of Weymouth 75 Middle Street Weymouth, MA 02189 Dear Ms. Deree: I have received the petitions of Gerard Mackin appealing the nonresponses of the Town of Weymouth (Town) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). In separate requests, Mr. Mackin requested the following records on August 21, 2022: [1] [t]he signed purchase order as referred to in the WSC fiscal management policy sec DJ “purchasing”[;] [2] [a]pproval by the “appropriate unit per said DJ”[;] [3] [p]urchasing authority for said purchase order per section DJA “purchasing authority”[;] [4] [a]ll documents showing compliance of the purchase order with section DJE “procurement requirements”[;] [5] [d]ocuments showing payment for the invoice in compliance with section DK “payment procedures”[;] [6] [d]ocuments showing compliance with the WSC “financial management procedures” manual and particularly the documents referred to in “expending from the general fund operating budget expenditures using purchase order[;] [7] [c]ompliance with section 5-301 of the Town Charter[;] [8] [a]ll documents related to receipt by the WSC of funds from the federal government[.] Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Mackin petitioned this office and the following appeals, SPR22/2055 and SPR22/2056, were opened as a result. Despite being notified of the opening of both appeals, it remains unclear whether the Town has provided a response.
