The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records September 21, 2022 SPR22/2074 Amanda Matton Records Access Officer Fall River Police Department 685 Pleasant Street Fall River, MA 02723 Dear Ms. Matton: I have received the petition of Rich Saltzberg, of the Martha’s Vineyard Times, appealing the response of the Fall River Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On September 2, 2022, Mr. Saltzberg requested all reports regarding a specified incident that occurred in 2019. The Department responded on September 8, 2022, providing responsive records. Unsatisfied with the Department’s response, Mr. Saltzberg appealed, and this case was opened as a result. Subsequent to the opening of this appeal, in an email to this office on September 14, 2022, Mr. Saltzberg states that he wishes to “retract the appeal . . .” In light of Mr. Saltzberg’s September 14th email, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed.
