Wilda Associate Chancellor for Compliance University of Massachusetts – Amherst 340 Whitmore Building 181 President’s Drive Amherst, MA 01003 Dear Ms. Wilda: I have received the petition of Joel Inbody appealing the fee estimate response of the University of Massachusetts Amherst (UMass) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On August 26, 2022, Mr. Inbody requested numerous records and emails in 2018 and 2019. UMass responded with a fee estimate on September 12, 2022. Unsatisfied with the response, Mr. Inbody petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/2091, was opened as result. Subsequently, I learned that UMass provided a further response on September 13, 2022. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of UMass’ September 12th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Inbody may appeal the substantive nature of UMass’ response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
