The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records October 26, 2022 SPR22/2311 Ben Kaufman Town Clerk’s Office Town of Brookline 333 Washington Street Brookline, MA 02445 Dear Mr. Kaufman: I have received the petition of Jeremy Margolis appealing the response of the Town of Brookline (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On September 20, 2022, Mr. Margolis requested the following records: (1) All complaints received regarding alleged violations of Brookline’s discrimination, sexual harassment, and retaliation policies by [a named Chief] ; (2) Any reports or investigative findings, whether draft or final, sent by Comprehensive Investigations and Consulting to town employees; (3) Any signed agreements between Comprehensive Investigations and Consulting and the Town. The Town responded on October 5, 2022. Unsatisfied with the response, Mr. Margolis petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/2311, was opened as a result. Subsequently, I learned that the Town provided a further response on October 24, 2022. Where the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Town’s October 5th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Margolis may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s October 24th response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
