The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records October 31, 2022 SPR22/2327 Cheryl L. Kirkpatrick, Ed.D. Assistant Superintendent Mendon-Upton Regional School District 150 North Avenue Mendon, MA 01756 Dear Dr. Kirkpatrick: I have received the petition of Dr. Alison Freeman appealing the response of the Mendon-Upton Regional School District (District) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On September 28, 2022, Dr. Freeman requested: [A]ll communication between [named individual] or other [D]istrict representative and [named individual] of the BSEA between 9/6/22 and today discussing [an identified person’s] evaluation meeting. Please note this request is a direct result of emails received today from each party individually that do not match with the [D]istrict’s claim that I either waive facilitation or waive the 45 day evaluation timeline.” On October 12, 2022, the District provided an initial response, asking for three (3) additional business days to process the request. As a result of the response, Dr. Freeman petitioned the Supervisor of Records, and this appeal was opened. The same day this appeal was opened, October 17th, the District provided Dr. Freeman and this office with a copy of the responsive records. Accordingly, where the District provided Dr. Freeman with the records responsive to her request, I will consider this administrative appeal closed.
