The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Manza Arthur Supervisor of Records November 3, 2022 SPR22/2407 Shirley Dorai Executive Assistant Malden School Committee, Room H104 77 Salem Street Malden, MA 02148 Dear Ms. Dorai: I have received the petition of Amy Friedman appealing the response of the Malden School Committee (Committee) to a request for public records. See G. L. c. 66, § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On September 16, 2022, Ms. Friedman requested: [1] The proof [an identified individual] provided to School Committee members regarding her education and/or educational background (including but not limited to transcripts, and any and all other documents and things). Including but not limited to those documents and things referenced by [an identified individual] in a School Committee meeting on September 12, 2022[;] [2] All “legal documents” as described by [an identified individual] in a School Committee meeting on September 12, 2022, signed by School Committee members in connection with or related to information provided or shown to them by [an identified individual]. If these “legal documents” were not signed but were given to School Committee members please provide a copy of the unsigned “legal document”[;] [3] [An identified individual’s] transcripts from [an identified university] provided to and/or shown to each of the School Committee members and that was referenced by [an identified individual] in a School Committee meeting on September 12, 2022[;] [4] Any and all Non-Disclosure Agreements signed by any member of the Malden School Committee dating from January 2020 to the date you respond to this request. On September 30, 2022, the Committee responded. Unsatisfied with the response, Ms. Friedman petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR22/2407, was opened as a result. Where this appeal was opened as a result of the Committee’s September 30th response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed.
